Porcelain Veneers at
Station Square Dental

Your Smile Makeover Starts Here

Veneers are just one of the popular cosmetic dental services we offer at Station Square Dental. A veneer is a custom-fitting, thin porcelain ‘sheet’ that is bonded to the surface of your front teeth, instantly giving you a straighter, seamless, and more beautiful smile. They’re perfect for those looking to enhance and makeover their smile in as little time as possible, without having to resort to more complex (and time-consuming) orthodontic treatment.

Are You a Candidate for Veneers?

  • A gappy smile
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Crooked teeth
  • Teeth which are stained or discoloured
  • Chipped or worn-down teeth

Veneers are just one effective cosmetic solution to these dental concerns, but our dentist can discuss a range of safe and trusted options with you prior to treatment.

Advanced CEREC Technology

Cerec machine fabricating toothWe pride ourselves on making services such as veneers accessible to as many patients as possible. This is why we offer two popular options when it comes to this treatment. Depending on the complexity of the case, patients can either have their veneers designed and fabricated right here in our Oakleigh practice using our same-day CEREC technology, or they can be custom-made at our local lab if advanced colour-matching is required. While our in-house veneers can be created within one appointment, lab-produced veneers have a turnaround of approximately 2 weeks.

The Veneer Process

When considering veneers, you will first attend an initial consultation with one of our dentists, allowing them to thoroughly assess your mouth and take the required imagery and scans. Our dentist will also discuss your desired results and the treatment with you in-length, ensuring you know everything regarding the process, cost, and what to expect.

The next step is for us to remove around half a millimetre of enamel from your tooth or teeth, as this is approximately the thickness of the veneer. Your veneers will then be created either in-house using the CEREC machine or at our local lab. Once finished, we will undertake any trimming or reshaping that is necessary. The veneer is then applied using special cement, and a light is shone onto the site to harden the cement quickly.
